The food and drink produced within the north east
of Scotland in some of the freshest and finest in
the world, and we believe it should be celebrated
as such. Whilst we can’t partner with every single
farmer/producer in the area, we’ve picked a few
of our favourites. The list below represents suppliers
whose fare we sell in our farm shop and serve in
our coffee shop.
Cairnton Aberdeen Angus Beef
We believe that our own Cairnton
Aberdeen Angus cattle produce some of the finest
beef in the north east. It’s hung for a minimum
of 20 days to ensure a tender and delicious dining
experience.
The Cambus O'May Cheese Company
All the cheeses produced by the Cambus O'May Cheese Company are handcrafted using unpasteurised milk from traditional recipes, and as such boasts a wealth of interesting flavours and textures.
Wark Farm
Jen and Dougie Foreman of Wark
Farm raise their animals using traditional and
organic methods of farming.
Isabella’s Preserves
Isabella and Alastair Massie produced their award
winning range of jams, marmalades and relishes
for years at their farm in Aberdeenshire. 2 years
ago, Louise Milne bought the business and has continued
the Massie’s high standards of quality and service.
Deeside Brewery
Rob James produces a range
of traditional real ales including the famous
Macbeth, right here on site at Deeside Activity Park. He uses age old brewing practices, the finest ingredients and the soft clear water of the nearby river Dee to create the quality product that we've come to expect.
Sandy Ingram’s
Pork sausages are
always a hit and his various flavoured burgers just
fly off the shelf. But it’s his bacon that first
drew us to him – it tastes just like bacon used
to taste, and is just a little bit special.
Organica J
Although not a food supplier, we felt that Organica
J deserved a mention as well. Jacquie Christie
produces a collection of high quality organic products,
including skin, body and hair care and essential oils.
Mackies Ice Cream
Produced near Old Meldrum and made with fresh milk and cream, Mackies has the smooth and creamy taste of traditional ice cream. Now with a world wide reputation, but still local to us!
Castleton Farm
95 acres of fruit is grown under tunnels at Castleton Farm in Fordoun. All the fruit is handpicked throughout the season and delivered straight to the shops to guarantee the freshest fruit of the highest quality.
Ola Oil
"A truly Scottish, healthy and tasty alternative to olive oil". The rapeseed is grown at a farm in Inverurie and once harvested is cold pressed. The climate and countryside of Aberdeenshire gives Ola its light, nutty flavour making it ideal for all types of cooking.
The Oatmeal of Alford
Produced at Montgarrie Mill in the heart of Aberdeenshire. Today, Alford Oatmeal continues to use the flat bed kiln and water powered mill stones to bring the best of Scottish oatmeal with a traditional nutty and crisp texture.
Cocoa Ooze
Offering a delicious range of hand-made quality chocolates, using only natural ingredients. Cocoa Ooze can create bespoke items, corporate gifts, speciality items, favours and much more. Their chocolate really is truly delicious.
The Devenick Dairy
The dairy produces a range of fine artisan cheeses and the freshest quality tasting yogurt in Aberdeenshire.
